Wow. Did that really happen?
A ball pit for adults on the rooftop of a skyscraper. A pinata full of joints. Chewbacca officiated a wedding. Shane beat cancer. A pop-up surprise wedding. An island in a parking lot. 100 breakouts for 6,000 people in 20 venues. Customized itineraries for VIPs in 65 countries. Replicated the replicants bar of Blade Runner 2049. Selfie edibles. Launched the first Maker Walk. Synchronized a nationwide tournament in 3 cities and 7 locations at once. A dinner party in the middle of the desert. A sneak peek of what's new at Magic Leap. Prepping for the NBA. Chance the Rapper is in! Launched a brand new city with a team of 20 in less than 24 hours. Slept in a Korean spa for 3 hours and started another 16 hour day. The Women's March in LA went right past our office. We lost Amy KR and Max.
If there's one big thing we've learned this year, when the unimaginable happens - we'll come out a victor of experience, and not a victim of circumstance. Thank you, 2017, for bringing us the wisdom that you can never be too prepared, too flexible, or too nice to others in the moments when the best laid plans fail and we just need to pull it together and seize the day.
We're ready for you, 2018!
Congratulations to Lou, Nikki, and Tricia for receiving the most shout outs as a "Team Rockstar" from their fellow teammates. True leadership uplifts others, and we appreciate you for all that you do to make everyone happy. You are shining stars!
